Cyber Security Analyst - Onsite

We are working with Government Operations agency in Massachusetts that is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to engage directly with customers, analyze the environment, coordinate data collection, and contribute to daily problem-solving. In this role, you will serve as a liaison to local city and town clerks and IT departments, participating in the planning, implementation, and support of security solutions across various locations in Massachusetts. This role is onsite around the Essex and Middlesex County areas in Massachusetts. Travel is required.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the planning, implementation, and support of security solutions statewide. Additionally, you'll be able to evaluate security and associated risks to city and town election office locations, assets, and personnel, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies to reduce potential risks.

Contract Duration: 6 months with potential to be renewed

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of IT experience (minimum 2 years of Information Security)

• Experience with security in a Windows environment and corporate security risk assessment/mitigating controls

• Familiarity with basic networking technologies and endpoint security solutions

• Massachusetts drivers license, and reliable personal vehicle

• Ability to explain security concepts to both technical and non-technical staff

Desired Skills & Experience

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work and complete assignments remotely as needed between location visits

• Comfortable with presenting policies and training on security best practices

• Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously

What You Will Be Doing

• Travel daily to election clerk and IT offices in the Essex and Middlesex County areas.

• Conduct assessments to ensure authorized systems are operating securely and are in compliance with security policies and procedures.

• Analyze vulnerability risks

• Provide cyber security training to small groups
