Required Skills & Experience

  • BigData management practices, Microsoft SQL Server / SSIS development, pySpark, Scala Spark, Google Cloud (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Flow, Proc, Looker), Jenkins, DevOps, Ansible.

  • T-shaped engineering skills to address questions/clarifications directly with domain SMEs, quality engineering coverage, and L3/DevOps coverage.

  • 5+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead complex/large data delivery initiatives with broad cybersecurity domain impacts and act as key participant in large scale application planning and implementation for high-value/cyber domain use cases. Review and analyze complex application enhancement initiatives for domains, including operational or technical improvements that require in depth evaluation of multiple data, functional and non-functional factors including non-functional intangibles or unprecedented factors.

  • Design and develop feature enhancements or expedite maintenance / fixes on the Data Pipeline framework.

  • Drive the implementation and adoption of quality engineering practices and automated quality assurance solutions across the data engineering community.

  • Ensure key risk areas related to data management such as data classification, attribute level data access, data completeness/accuracy, and data use are addressed in the design phase.

  • BigData management practices, Microsoft SQL Server / SSIS development, pySpark, Scala Spark, Google Cloud (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Flow, Proc, Looker), Jenkins, DevOps, Ansible.

  • T-shaped engineering skills to address questions/clarifications directly with domain SMEs, quality engineering coverage, and L3/DevOps coverage.

  • Design, develop, and deploy complex data flows, define new data management solutions and standards, create and maintain domain data product designs, and everything else involved in supplying high quality analytical data for cyber security use cases (threat analytics, governed metrics, cybersecurity data science) as well as report issues to engineering teams and product leadership appropriately.

  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations requiring understanding of software package options and programming language and compliance requirements that influence and lead Technology to meet deliverables and drive organizational change.

  • Provide code peer review oversight and governance. Ensure optimal distributed data processing coding practices are defined in the engineering handbook.

  • Proactively collaborate and consult with internal product teams to resolve highly complex and risky data engineering challenges.

  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations requiring understanding of software package options and programming language and compliance requirements that influence and lead Technology to meet deliverables and drive organizational change.

  • Provide code peer review oversight and governance. Ensure optimal distributed data processing coding practices are defined in the engineering handbook.

  • Proactively collaborate and consult with internal product teams to resolve highly complex and risky data engineering challenges.

  • Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Database Engineering.

  • Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Database Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.

  • Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
