$70/hr - $85/hr
A leader in the medical devices and robotics industry is seeking a multi-faceted, talented, user-centered Senior Human Factors Engineer who is driven to make people's quality of life better through compelling, elegant, and intuitive design experiences.

Contract Duration: 12 months
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Factors Engineering, Usability Engineering, Cognitive Sciences or equivalent studies
At least 4+ years of direct experience working in Human Factors and/or usability engineering
Experience establishing Human Factors Engineering processes, including research, planning, risk assessment, etc.
Demonstrated experience and track record of negotiating and influencing stakeholders to improve overall business effectiveness and function
Ability to lead teams towards solutions and gain buy-in from multiple levels of stakeholders
Knowledge of the IEC 62366 standard and the FDA guidance on human factors engineering
Working knowledge of the ISO 14971 and IEC 62304 are a plus
Medical Device product development or experience working in a highly regulated industry is a strong plus.
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience working on robotics or medical devices
Ability to translate high-level plans and goals into actionable insights and plans for teams to follow

Influencing HF/Usability Strategy and leading Human Factors, UX, and Design strategists on a globally dispersed team
Serving as a subject matter experience in your area and helping guide others towards a common vision
Network and cultivate relationship with key external and internal stakeholders to ensure cross-functional decision making is occurring
